• Anthony Panzera Forever I am grateful for having been his student. He encourages his students to examine their own work and express at least one thing that they would have done differently. He also champions, ''Freedom through discipline,'' which I now firmly believe in. He's the type of artist that lands two lines, shades for about five seconds, and on the paper, like a spoken word of God, emerges the human body, heavy with weight, light with vulnerability.
• Robert Cenedella Teaches at the ASL, taught me a great deal about lines.
• Robert Swain Taught me to look in colors, and communicate in them too: "My, that's a lovely mix of red (magenta) and blue-violet (cobalt blue) under your eyes." No more chromaphobia for me! Absolutely teaches one of the most challenging courses at Hunter. You will sweat for the grade! (Which is a great thing).
• Joel Carreiro His artwork is really beautiful and conceptual, and he's a very kind teacher.
• Laura Sue Phillips My professor for watercolor, art 101, and etching. Check out her work. Really beautiful colors in her paintings. Has, arguably, the greatest dog in the tri-state area.
• Michael Brennan I found him!... I think. Always giving constructive criticism, MB is a gracious Professor with very beautiful work.
• Pierre Obando I just think of those dots and tapes. Check out his work!
• Peter Dudek Gotta see his hair. Very thoughtful sculptor... Man I gotta think of better adjectives.
• Changha Hwang My uncle once removed on my father's side. The only known, established painter in the family as far as I'm aware. Lives in Brooklyn. Took us to Six Flags when he was sporting polo shirts and glasses. Cool dude.
• Josh Heimbach This kid's awesome. Hands down. Has a really gifted eye. I mean eyes. My shoddy scissor brush pack is modeled after his original. NOTE TO HEXY: UPDATE!
• Lisa Tagliaferri A master of grammar who thinks in English, Italian, and French. Also a very talented photographer.
• Victor Timofeev Driven, uber talented. You must check out his year-long project.
• Georgia Dominici Very talented artist, who captures light hitting matter immensely well. I'd hire her over me.

• ConceptArt.org Have a look.
• DeviantArt.com I'd recommend it for the resources. Don't go there for an uber meaningful experience because it might be a let down.
• Illustration Friday Each week, a word is chosen, and all participants must create an image in response to that word. Good opportunity for exposure and realizing why you need to draw every day.
• Poetry With Meaning An online community where you can post your own poetry and read those of others. Haven't really spent too much time there...

• CarbonMade Although the name isn't that flattering, carbonmade.com is a great place to make your own portfolio. Very web 2.0 in style, and pretty great looking.
• Squidfingers Awesome graphic designer & his great collection of free patterns
• CMYK Magazine Extensive magazine with lots of information about contests & a place for free portfolios
• Smashing Magazine Where every designer needs to visit.
• HTML Dog Beginner in HTML or CSS? Both? This is a well-organized website based on chapters from the book.

• Hype Machine mp3 aggregator that lets you know and listen to all the music that people are blogging about. Explore and be inspired!

• Kronenberg.org So valuable for iMac users. Install and run IE 5+ for free.
• IE NetRenderer Delivers screenshots of your website running on Internet Explorer 5.5 and above, and quickly, too. Unlimited, free usage.
• Browser Screenshots Wow. Just click this. 200 free screenshots daily. You can specify by operating system/browser, including Camino, Dillo, Netscape Navigator, etc. Takes a few if you are a free user; grab a cup of coffee.
• BrowserCam Another browser compatibility testing service. Not free, but a free trial. Nice service.
• MAMP Web server for Mac OS X - PHP/MySQL/Apache - Great for running Wordpress and-the-like locally. Free version available.
• Wordpress Popular blogging software. You can sign up for an account on their website or you can install it in about 5 minutes on your personal web server.
• Web Developer Add-on for FireFox. A must for web developers.
• Delicious.com A social bookmarking tool that I like to use to keep my journey through graphic design somewhat organized. Hyperrific is my username.
• Gimp Freeware alternative to Photoshop for Mac OS X
• Ubuntu Opensource Linux-based operating system
• ICDSoft Web Hosting My web host. They may not be the biggest bang for the dollar in terms of space and bandwidth, but their support lives up to the praise from the plethora of online reviews. I received a response to my question (submitted online) in less than 10 minutes (the guarantee is within one hour). Great documentation, too.

• CSS Mastery Got this book after reading through HTMLDog.com. Broadens your understanding and boldness through good, relevant examples. Great section on bug fixing, too.
